A moment in time

This video is not meant to be watched, the picture quality is horrible.  The video is to be heard, I will forever love the sound of my son's laugh, I hope you enjoy it too!

November

John and I were lucky enough to be able to attend a Packer game this month.  We made a day of it and hit the Hall of Fame and tailgaited with some friends too.  The Packers won in a land slide against the Cowboys!

I was feeling pretty crummy this month and didn't do a whole lot of picture taking or anything else for that matter.  I did manage to get a picture of the BIG BROTHER with an ultrasound of his sibling to send out as announcements to our family.  You can see the baby is a bean still in the picture, I was only 7 weeks then.

We made a trip to MN to visit family and friends and celebrate Thanksgiving and our neice's 1st birthday.  Here is a picture of the birthday girl.

October

October was a busy month.  We started preparing for Halloween by letting Corbin pick out a few pumpkins and gourds from a local farmer.  He had a great time trying to pick up all the biggest ones of course.

We hopefully started a family tradition by going to Epelgaarden to pick raspberries and apples.  Corbin liked helping Daddy pick the apples and taking a bite out of a few of them too.  He would not walk, or ride in the wagon for that matter, which got really tiring.  All and all we had a good time and at least I am looking forward to next year's trip.
Corbin and I also took a trip to Skelly's Farm Market.  Skelly's is a fun place to play with dump trucks in a corn box, climb on wooden play equipment and play pumpkin tic tac toe. We met some little friends, Jagger, Jemma and Loralei for yummy pumpkin donuts and apple cider.

Corbin decided he wanted to dress up as a cow for Halloween.  I named tons of animals and insects all to which he emphatically said "NO!".  I finally asked him about a cow.  Once he said yes he never waivered.  We were proud of him saying "trick or treat" at every house and a couple of "moos" too!

Here are our pumpkins.  Corbin's was a Cat, mine was a spider in a web and John's was a scary face.
Our family pumpkin said Trick or Treat

We also got some great family news this month.  We found out we are expecting our 2nd child!  Baby Williams #2 is due to arrive June 18th, 2011.

September

The highlight of September happened over Labor Day weekend.  We headed to Minocqua with some friends and had a great time cooking out, sitting around the camp fire, paddle boating and visiting a petting zoo.

All of the pictures below were taken at Peck's Wildwood Wildlife Park.  This place was awesome for Corbin and for us.  John got to give huge bears a drink of "cola", we got to pet tons of animals and see many more.  There was this cool enclosed bird area where we were able to feed all sorts of birds.  They were so used to people they landed right on our hands.  I would make the trek back to Minocqua just to go to this place again.

I couldn't resist this picture, I'm not gonna tell you what to look for...

August

Corbin turned 2 in August.  We had a great monkey birthday party with lots of family and friends.  Corbin definitely turned 2 on his birthday.  I commented many times that it was like someone flipped a switch.  My calm, easy going child turned into an emotional, and more than I would like, whiny boy.  My perfect child couldn't stay perfect forever, he has us for parents :-).  Since August we have learned to deal with these new emotions with patience and of course time outs!

This picture was taken on Corbin's actual birthday.  Daddy had to work so Corbin and I decided to take a trip to the local splash pool.  He had a great time watering his feet with the watering can and sliding down 2 different whales that spray water.

Here are the birthday brownies that Corbin took maybe 2 bites of.  Notice I did NOT light the candle this year.  If you remember last year, Corbin stuck his fingers through the flame of his #1 candle... I will never live that down by the way.

Here is the big boy at his birthday party.  We had great weather to celebrate with family and friends.

This is the monkey cake Daddy baked, frosted and decorated.  No kidding, my husband may be the next cake boss!

Ah! Yum!

July

July was spent traveling.  First was a trip for Corbin and I to ND to celebrate my Grandfather's 90th birthday.  We had many hours of driving to get to and from our destination but spending time with family made it all worth it.

Next was to Northern Wisconsin for John and me.  This picture was taken at my best friend Alicia's wedding.  The festivities were held at Stout's Island Lodge on the Island of Happy Days (AMAZING).  John and I had a nice, relaxing, child free weekend.  Thank you to Keith and Angela for watching Corbin for us.  Congratulations Alicia and Matt on your wedding day.  We had a great time celebrating with you!

Corbin spent a lot of time in his pool this summer.  Here he is, in some of the last photos ever with his nuk in his mouth I might add, filling up his pool.  He loves to help Mommy and Daddy whenever he can whether it be giving the animals treats in the morning, putting groceries on the conveyor at the store or filling up his pool.  He's gonna go go go just like his dad, I'm afraid...

Corbin likes to swim naked.  In fact, he prefers to swim naked even if Mommy is taking pictures.  Here he is trying to master the slide.

Ahh, success!

One of our many trips to the Middleton Slash Pad.

Playing on the equipment at the local park in Footville.  Notice the sweat... the kid sweats like that sitting in the house playing... it's a sad state of affairs sometimes.

We gave Corbin his birthday present early this year.  John and I knew we wanted to get Corbin a Swing and Slide for the backyard and we happened to be at a benefit where one was being auctioned off.  I didn't think we'd be the highest bidder by any means but as it turns out we were.  This is a shot of the day it was delivered.

And last, one of my favorites from the summer.  Corbin and Dash waiting patiently by the front door for Daddy's truck to pull up in the driveway!

June

It's officially fall and I haven't posted anything to our blog in 3 months.  Needless to say, summer went by quickly with lots of traveling, celebrations and family fun too.
The pictures below are from June.  First is Corbin and John giving each other a "dap".  Corbin has mastered this skill and I must say it's pretty cute.  The boys are sitting in their chairs waiting for a parade to start.  Corbin attended a parade last year but was too small to know what was going on.  I'm counting this as his first official parade.

Here is the little guy waiting patiently for the next tractor, truck or sash wearing girl in a convertible to throw some candy his way.

One of Corbin's favorite things to do is put change in his piggy banks.  I didn't make a typo, I meant banks, plural.  He has 4, 2 pigs, 1 bunny and 1 bus.  I don't know why he has so many but I'll tell you what, that change adds up.  Recently Corbin and I took a field trip to the bank to change in his money and he had $94.87 in his banks...  Thanks Great Grandma!

We have a nice man made lake near us that we decided to visit one weekend.  Here John is trying to get Corbin used to the water.  At the beginning of the summer he was a bit nervous about getting into the water and about splashing too.  It didn't take him long to get over it as you'll see in later pictures.

Getting big

Corbin seems to be growing up more every day.  I'm amazed at what he can do and what he is interested in!!  I didn't think he would ever get very good at using either a fork or a spoon... Once I learned to ignore the mess he was making in the process and just let him be he started figuring it out.  Below is one of my new favorite pictures.  Corbin loves macoroni and cheese, especially when he gets to feed it to himself with a fork and/or spoon.

I made my first purchase from Craig's List last weekend.  I bought this sandbox for $20.  I thought it was a great bargain and it turned out to be a hit with the little guy too.  He mostly likes to scoop up handfuls of sand and let it pour out onto the concrete... Oh well I guess, he's having fun!

What we've been up to...

We've been keeping busy!  The weather has been great and outside has proved to be Corbin's favorite hangout.
Corbin got fitted for a helmet at the Kohl's Safety Center at American Family Children's Hospital (were Mommy works).  Ever since we bought the helmet it's been a battle to get the thing off Corbin's head.  He also loves to ride on the back of my bike... even if it's only down the street or around the cul-de-sac.  I'm not sure which upsets him more, the bike ride ending or the helmet being taken off.  What I do know... we've now seen a temper tantrum...

For Corbin's 1st birthday he got a bubble making lawn mower.  He couldn't quite figure it out last year but really likes it now.  Sometimes I think he enjoys pretending to add bubbles more than the bubbles themselves.

Monday marked Mommy and Daddy's 3rd wedding anniversary.  Thanks to Sandy (John's Mom) we got an entire evening and night to ourselves!  We went to a fundraiser called "Sip and Taste" where we got to sample lots of different food and beverages from local eateries.  We found many new restaurants to try and had a great time.

We are looking forward to this weekend when my best friend Alicia and her fiance Matt will be here to visit.

Rub a dub dub

Thank goodness for the TV... in the bathroom!  I couldn't get a shower most days without being able to trap Corbin in the bathtub.  He lounges and watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which gives me about 20 minutes to do my business.  Only once has he gotten bored with the TV and decided to turn on the water... Yikes!

WTH?

With a toddler in the house we've been trying to curb our swearing... let's say some days are better than others!  Instead of my usual WTF, I've tried to incorporate WTH... what the heck?
What the heck is how I feel about blogspot right now.  Everytime I try to look at the blog the background is missing.  I've re-applied it, removed it and started over and even changed the layout a couple of times and still... WTH?

Anyway, Corbin and I were in Chicago this past weekend with Nana.  We had a nice time walking around Michigan Ave. and seeing some of the sites.  The weather was very nice which made all that walking pretty enjoyable.  Corbin got his first Happy Meal, attempted his first drinks out of a straw and had his first tastes of one of Mommy's favorite desserts at the Hard Rock.  All in all we had a great weekend!

Stay tuned for pictures, I haven't had a chance to upload them to the computer yet...

Being goofy

The pictures below are Corbin being himself. He's a happy, fun, goofy and incredibly handsome little boy.

He loves to wear Daddy's skull caps. You can't see it in the picture but Corbin brought one to John to put on too.

I love this picture... I hope I haven't set myself up for a girl crazy teenager!

Long time no blog!

It's been forever since I posted anything. Christmas and the New Year flew by and it's nearly the end of January. Lot's has happened in the past month... Here are a few pictures to catch you up!
Corbin didn't rip into his gifts like I thought he would this Christmas so I was disappointed. I guess I should have known better. In a few years when he rips open the gifts so fast he barely notices them I'll be thankful for this Christmas!

Corbin got a visit from his cousin Kate a couple of weeks ago. He was a very jealous little boy. Not only was she invading his turf, she was getting all his Mommy's attention!

This is just a funny picture showing lots of Corbin's personality. He loves to take his socks and shoes off, he loves to run around without pants on and he loves his snack cup!
