Annual Christmas Tree hunt

Last year we decided to try a tree farm in Janesville called Tannenbaum Acres.  We were very happy with the entire experience and have made it a Williams family tradition.  This year we brought Grandma Sandy along to take some family photos.  Here we are with our (ridiculously expensive but beautiful) tree.

Tannenbaum Acres is a family friendly place as you can see from the photo above.  Corbin got to help cut the bottom off of the tree and helped wrap it in netting too.

I think Corbin and Daddy had more fun petting and feeding the reindeer than finding the tree.  Regardless, we are planning to make more memories with Tannenbaum Acres in the years to come.

Baby #2

Here are some ultrasound pics of baby #2 at 12 weeks.

The 3D ones are kind of creepy at this stage but the technology is pretty cool.  Baby looks like a gummy bear.

A moment in time

This video is not meant to be watched, the picture quality is horrible.  The video is to be heard, I will forever love the sound of my son's laugh, I hope you enjoy it too!

November

John and I were lucky enough to be able to attend a Packer game this month.  We made a day of it and hit the Hall of Fame and tailgaited with some friends too.  The Packers won in a land slide against the Cowboys!

I was feeling pretty crummy this month and didn't do a whole lot of picture taking or anything else for that matter.  I did manage to get a picture of the BIG BROTHER with an ultrasound of his sibling to send out as announcements to our family.  You can see the baby is a bean still in the picture, I was only 7 weeks then.

We made a trip to MN to visit family and friends and celebrate Thanksgiving and our neice's 1st birthday.  Here is a picture of the birthday girl.

October

October was a busy month.  We started preparing for Halloween by letting Corbin pick out a few pumpkins and gourds from a local farmer.  He had a great time trying to pick up all the biggest ones of course.

We hopefully started a family tradition by going to Epelgaarden to pick raspberries and apples.  Corbin liked helping Daddy pick the apples and taking a bite out of a few of them too.  He would not walk, or ride in the wagon for that matter, which got really tiring.  All and all we had a good time and at least I am looking forward to next year's trip.
Corbin and I also took a trip to Skelly's Farm Market.  Skelly's is a fun place to play with dump trucks in a corn box, climb on wooden play equipment and play pumpkin tic tac toe. We met some little friends, Jagger, Jemma and Loralei for yummy pumpkin donuts and apple cider.

Corbin decided he wanted to dress up as a cow for Halloween.  I named tons of animals and insects all to which he emphatically said "NO!".  I finally asked him about a cow.  Once he said yes he never waivered.  We were proud of him saying "trick or treat" at every house and a couple of "moos" too!

Here are our pumpkins.  Corbin's was a Cat, mine was a spider in a web and John's was a scary face.
Our family pumpkin said Trick or Treat

We also got some great family news this month.  We found out we are expecting our 2nd child!  Baby Williams #2 is due to arrive June 18th, 2011.

September

The highlight of September happened over Labor Day weekend.  We headed to Minocqua with some friends and had a great time cooking out, sitting around the camp fire, paddle boating and visiting a petting zoo.

All of the pictures below were taken at Peck's Wildwood Wildlife Park.  This place was awesome for Corbin and for us.  John got to give huge bears a drink of "cola", we got to pet tons of animals and see many more.  There was this cool enclosed bird area where we were able to feed all sorts of birds.  They were so used to people they landed right on our hands.  I would make the trek back to Minocqua just to go to this place again.

August

Corbin turned 2 in August.  We had a great monkey birthday party with lots of family and friends.  Corbin definitely turned 2 on his birthday.  I commented many times that it was like someone flipped a switch.  My calm, easy going child turned into an emotional, and more than I would like, whiny boy.  My perfect child couldn't stay perfect forever, he has us for parents :-).  Since August we have learned to deal with these new emotions with patience and of course time outs!

This picture was taken on Corbin's actual birthday.  Daddy had to work so Corbin and I decided to take a trip to the local splash pool.  He had a great time watering his feet with the watering can and sliding down 2 different whales that spray water.

Here are the birthday brownies that Corbin took maybe 2 bites of.  Notice I did NOT light the candle this year.  If you remember last year, Corbin stuck his fingers through the flame of his #1 candle... I will never live that down by the way.

Here is the big boy at his birthday party.  We had great weather to celebrate with family and friends.

This is the monkey cake Daddy baked, frosted and decorated.  No kidding, my husband may be the next cake boss!

Ah! Yum!
